11-year-old Teshae calls on Father God | Entertainment
Young singer Teshae Star has released her first official single, ‘ Father God’, which was inspired by the circumstances she observes daily.
“The track is about reaching out to the Creator, asking Him to have mercy on the world. We, as a nation, in every city or state, should join together and pray as one because no matter what we are going through, prayer is the answer,” she said.
Teshae came to national attention last year after she performed with her musical idol, Romain Virgo, at Reggae Sumfest. She has done a collaboration with the soulful singer on his song Dutty Man.
Teshae Star, 11, who hails from Rae Town, central Kingston, said teaming up with Virgo opened up a opportunities for her and gave her the drive to pursue music professionally.
“I believe I got the push and motivation from Mr Romain Virgo, and my mom also, but I’ve always loved to sing. Now, it’s a dream come true to be able to release my first single,” the singer said.
“I am just grateful for the opportunity to be heard, and I will forever be grateful to Mr Romain Virgo for helping me to see my true potential. I am very excited to move forward and release more positive music for the world to hear,” she added.
Father God is produced by KollegeRok Records.
