Internationally renowned Grammy-Award winning music producer DJ Khaled will have a strong Caribbean presence on his next album Khaled Khaled.
This according to his Jamaican representative Sharon Burke. In a statement sent to THE WEEKEND STAR regarding the album, Burke said that the producer’s team is tight-lipped about which Jamaican artistes will make an appearance on the project, but said the Caribbean will play a big part in the compilation.
In several posts made to his Instagram page since Tuesday, DJ Khaled revealed that was on a lavish property in Jamaica he refers to as the ‘Holy Mountain’ and is ready to complete the album. Checks made to his official Instagram page shows the mogul has made a link with long-time friend and Grammy-Award winning reggae artiste Buju Banton ‘holding a vibe’. Buju met with Khaled’s wife and was introduced to the couple’s second son, Alaam. Then in a post made to his page on Thursday morning, DJ Khaled showed Capleton laying down vocals for a track. Dubbing Capleton his ‘good friend’, DJ Khaled, through his caption of the video, declared that the compilation is something special and will ‘touch the world in a special way.’
