Konsequence Muzik drops first rhythm for 2021 | Entertainment
The Canadian-owned, Jamaica-based label Konsequence Muzik has released its first juggling project for 2021 called the ‘8 Figga Rhythm’.
Starface, Maestro Don, KipRich, Jdon Heights, Perylous, Madjesty, Lee Cash and Staynless are all on this project.
“The name ‘8 Figga’ came about based on a song that label artiste Starface did, and we decided to knock the rhythm over her vocals,” said Tristmar Peart, Konsequence Muzik boss. “The selection of artistes was not difficult as we worked with our stable of artistes under Konsequence Muzik roster, then we chose other acts based on artistes we worked with before.”
Maestro Don’s single, Loaded, captures a gangster kind of party vibe. The single speaks about being a very authentic person. However, the deejay also expresses concern about persons who are mischievous, while adding that he is no pushover because he is ‘loaded’ with wisdom and can also defend himself if put to the test.
Starface, who is the only female act on the rhythm, campaigns for the independent ladies with her single 8 Figga. The song depicts women being independent and stocking up on their money.
“The lyrics encourage ladies to purchase their houses instead of renting, while stating that if a man can scam to earn a living, a woman can, too; meaning, anything a man can do in the working world, females can do it,” Starface explained. The video for the single was shot in St Andrew and will be released at a later date.
