Opposition Leader Mark Golding announces PNP shadow cabinet

On Monday, People’s National Party (PNP) President Mark Golding announced the formation of the party’s new shadow cabinet.

“In presenting this Shadow Cabinet, we are putting forward a team of sharp thinkers, seasoned leaders, and dynamic fresh voices who stand ready to serve the Jamaican people,” Golding said. “They bring the innovation and determination needed to steer our country on a better path.”

He also emphasized that the shadow cabinet carries no financial burden for taxpayers. “This isn’t about salaries or benefits. Our spokespersons perform these roles voluntarily. The shadow cabinet provides MPs with an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to national discussions while showing their preparedness to take on leadership in a future government,” Golding explained.

The shadow cabinet has been structured around four central pillars of national life: economic development, human development, physical development, and governance.
