PNP drops Ian Stephenson as it’s Candidate for South East St Elizabeth
———
The PNP caretaker at the helm of the political machinery in the constituency of South East St Elizabeth has been formally notified that he will no longer be the party’s standard bearer in the next general elections.
Ian Stephenson was presented by PNP President Mark Golding last year as the candidate that would take on the JLP’s Member Of Parliament Frank Witter.
Since last week the rumour mills have been running wild that a formal meeting was held with PNP leaders of the constituency informing them of a recent poll that was conducted in the constituency and that Stephenson would be pulled as the candidate. The talks were met with mixed views with persons dismissing them as just rumours but confirmation came last night when the PNP candidate for South Manchester Senator Peter Bunting confirmed at meeting in Junction St Elizabeth over the weekend that the PNP was indeed going back into the field in search of a new candidate to represent the PNP.
