ROAD PROTEST IN ST. ELIZABETH

Residents of Morningside and surrounding communities in St. Elizabeth are protesting over the poor condition of roads serving Red Bank, Morningside and Rose Hall.

The demonstrators have blocked the main road between Cheapside and St. Mary’s, forcing motorists to use longer alternate routes.

Residents say they have had enough of the deteriorating road conditions and are calling on the relevant authorities to take urgent action to repair the roadway.
