Earlier this week, Romeich Major announced that he wanted to help 50 families acquire groceries for their homes.
Noting the new measures in place to curb the spread of COVID-19, the artiste manager and entrepreneur forecast the potential challenges that Jamaicans will have to acquire food and put out a call to action via social media to ‘Keep The Help Coming’.
He said “So many people have answered the call to volunteer their help or donate to the cause and it is a lot more people than we usually expected.” The Romeich Entertainment CEO explained that the response has been overwhelming and they now have enough supplies to help over 200 families. Major noted that approximately 80 per cent of the help is from persons living overseas.
“The demand has already been significant and we see where pooling all our resources is helping us to help as many people as we possibly can. Companies like Wisynco have donated a great deal to us and to them we are also grateful. If more comes we will keep it going. Persons interested to help can send a direct message on Instagram @romeichentertainment and this is welcomed, whether it is cash or food supplies or a helping hand,” he said.
